Journal ISIC SIEL 2026 Welcomes France as Guest of Honor

From May 1st to May 10th 2026, the international book fair-SIEL- returns to Rabat in its 31st edition, with France as the guest of honor.
This initiative is part of a larger dynamic of cross-cultural exchange, following Morocco's participation as guest of honor at the Paris Book festival in 2025. It takes place alongside Rabat's nomination as World Book Capital by UNESCO for 2026, further enhancing the event's international impact.
The French stand will host more than 120 events, including book signings, conferences, and interactive workshops. This program aims to make reading accessible in a welcoming and engaging setting. Professional gatherings will bring together Moroccan and French authors to exchange views on the current challenges facing the domain.
For 10days, World Book Capital will come alive with a diversified program bringing together authors, artists, and book lovers from across the world. At the same time, SIEL will host film screenings, concerts, and exhibitions. This extended program aims to integrate books more effectively and reach a broader audience.
Siel 2026 will bring together major figures from the French and Moroccan literary scene. Annie Ernaux, winner of the 2022 Nobel Prize, Morgane Moncomble, a leading name in New Romance, Timothée de Fombelle, a well-known children’s author, will join them and many more major names in the literary field.
