As part of its ongoing coverage of cultural events across the Arab world, Difaf, the daily cultural programme on Alaraby 2, aired a special episode dedicated to Rabat International Book Fair, Morocco.

The episode forms part of the channel’s role as an official media partner of the major cultural event and reflects its broader strategy to strengthen its position as a leading Arab cultural platform closely engaged with the region’s most significant creative gatherings.

Broadcast from the heart of the exhibition, presenter Nour Hariri delivered a dynamic blend of live reporting and in-depth cultural conversations.

The programme captured the atmosphere of panel discussions and book signings while bringing viewers the voices and experiences of visitors across the fair’s pavilions, offering a wide-angle portrait of the Moroccan and Arab cultural scene and its engagement with contemporary questions — from literature’s relationship with technological change to debates around identity, language, and poetic memory in times of crisis.

The episode also spotlighted the fair’s rich cultural programme.

This year’s edition celebrates writing as an “act of travel,” framing the journey as a pathway to knowledge and drawing inspiration from the enduring legacy of the famed traveller Ibn Battuta.

Commenting on the special broadcast, programme producer Ahmad Bah said: “This episode reinforces Difaf’s role as a daily platform dedicated to documenting and analysing the Arab cultural and artistic landscape with depth and context.”
