Ibiidi publishing is participating at the 27^th International Publishing and Book Fair in Rabat. One of their most sold books is entitled ‘6 souls are enough for play’ by the writer Douae Ibrahim who has a particular professional career besides writing, she happens to be a pediatrician. The book tells the story of a complex character with schizophrenia. Through his eyes, and oddly the eyes of everything around him, we are told that his wife is probably cheating on him; his neighbor is trying to kill him, his mother is trying to kill his daughter and his neighbor’s wife is trying to seduce him… The particularity of the title lies in the fact that the protagonist kills cats.

Why, you’d ask? It’s because he killed his neighbor and he lives in the constant fear that cats will give their seventh soul to the dead neighbor to bring him back to life. He thinks that he will seek revenge if he is alive again. Our character hates women with a burning passion.

Douae Ibrahim spent 3 years trying to write this book. The delay is due to her getting too paranoid whenever she tries to write. The goal behind this book is to make people understand the mechanism of a schizophrenic personality better by considering the struggles that come with it.
